Little Flowers Girls’ Club focuses on a saint and a virtue each month. Sign up to show your interest only. We are in the process of possibly signing on a leader for this wonderful girls group.

Once a month on Tuesdays, after school until 4:00 PM, throughout the school year.

• What to do if you're lost and how to signal for help (Hug a Tree, SOS, whistles).
• Fire Safety: We discussed the importance of never playing with fire, matches, or lighters, and why safety is a top priority when around fire.
• How to Build a Fire: The group learned how to construct a fire using the "log house" method—starting with smaller twigs and gradually adding larger logs for stability and controlled burning.
• 10 Essentials for Hiking and Camping: We reviewed the essential items every adventurer should pack to stay safe and prepared in the outdoors.
• Emergency Shelter Building: We practiced basic techniques to build a simple shelter in case of an emergency while hiking or camping.
• Basic first aid, including burn treatment, bee stings, and applying pressure to a wound.
• Compass Skills: We practiced using a compass for outdoor navigation.
• Understanding Directions: We explored the four cardinal directions—North, South, East, and West.
• Rock Painting: The kids expressed their creativity by painting rocks with North, South, East, and West and then learned to place them in the proper direction. They also picked out stickers and decorated their rock containers.
• Tent Fun: The children enjoyed playing in tents and learning about outdoor shelters.
• Sunscreen use is very important, even in the snow and cloudy weather.
• Leave No Trace Principle: We discussed the importance of protecting nature.
• Wildlife BINGO: The kids learned about animals and their habitats through a fun game.
