Curriculum

At Holy Family School, we are committed to providing a high-quality, well-rounded education that prepares students for success both now and in the future.

We follow the Common Core State Standards for English Language Arts and Mathematics, which help ensure that students build strong foundational skills in reading, writing, speaking, and problem-solving. These standards also support literacy across subjects like history, science, and technical studies.

In addition to the Common Core, we incorporate the Washington State Essential Academic Learning Requirements and Grade Level Expectations in subjects such as Social Studies, Art, Physical Education, Library/Technology, and Music, ensuring a well-balanced and comprehensive education for every child.

Our Science curriculum is based on the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), which provide a consistent approach to science instruction from grade to grade. These standards emphasize hands-on learning, critical thinking, and real-world applications—especially in the areas of engineering and technology.

At Holy Family, we believe that high academic expectations, combined with a nurturing, faith-filled environment, give our students the tools they need to thrive.

Our Religion curriculum is guided by the Archdiocese of Seattle Religion Standards, which are thoughtfully designed to help students grow in their understanding of the Catholic faith, deepen their relationship with God, and live out Gospel values in their daily lives.
