At Holy Family School, volunteerism is essential to our mission and success. It not only helps us reduce operational costs but also builds a stronger school community, fosters parent engagement, and enriches the educational experience of every child.
Volunteering offers a meaningful way for families to connect, share their talents, and support the vibrant life of our school and parish.
2025–2026 Volunteer Hour Requirement
Each family is expected to complete 20 hours in service, 5 of which need to be for the Holy Family Auction, to our school or parish as part of their yearly contract. There are many opportunities throughout the year to complete your service hours. Hours worked by adult children and grandparents can also count toward your family hours. At the end of the year, incomplete hours will be charged to the family at a rate of $35 per hour.

Fulfilling service hours
Service hours may be completed through a wide variety of activities that support both the school and parish. Examples include:
Classroom Support – tutoring, classroom prep, student monitoring
Library Help – shelving books, assisting with Book Fairs
Parish Involvement – clean-up, faith formation, office tasks
Outreach Ministries – Sunday coffee & donuts, religious education
Event Support – auction assistance, picnics, receptions, school dances
Field Trip Supervision
Grounds & Facilities – maintenance, organizing, beautification
Lunch Programs – helping with pizza day coordination
Room Parents – organizing class events and communication
Grant Writing & Administrative Support
Whether you have a regular block of time or just a few hours throughout the year, your involvement is welcome and appreciated!

opt-out option
For families who are unable to commit to fundraising and volunteer hours, we offer an opt-out option for the 2025–2026 school year.
The buy-out fee is $1,850, covering both service hours and fundraising requirements.We are deeply grateful to the many parents, grandparents, and parishioners who give so generously of their time, talent, and treasure. Together, we make Holy Family a thriving and joyful place to learn, grow, and serve.
