CYO Athletics is sports done a different way – as one community. Individuals and teams strive for greatness in accordance with Gospel values. To develop the whole person, we teach success is not measured solely by the scoreboard, but by the effort, team play, and fun of the experience.

The Latin ministerium means “service”. All Christians, not just ordained, are called to ministry through baptism. CYO Athletics is a ministry of the Catholic Church. As such, sports becomes a vehicle for reaching young people, for providing opportunities to grow in their faith, to apply the lessons of faith to their daily lives. To our athletes, success should not be measured by the scoreboard, but by giving full effort, being the best teammate they can be, and having fun.

STRIVING FOR GREATNESS - PROGRAM GOALS
1) To provide opportunities for youth to grow in faith;
2) To increase self-confidence and self-reliance;
3) To increase interpersonal competence;
4) To increase a sense of caring toward others.In other words, CYO Athletics is teaching Gospel values that aid boys and girls in their social, spiritual, physical and emotional development towards adulthood.

Volleyball
Holy Family is excited to open registration for the upcoming CYO volleyball season! Students in grades 4–8 are invited to take part in a fun and energetic program that emphasizes skill-building, teamwork, and sportsmanship. This year, our 4th-grade team will be co-ed, and students in 6th–8th grades will have the opportunity to compete in JV and Varsity playoffs.
The last day to register is January 12th. We’re looking forward to another great season!

Flag Football
We are partnering with Auburn Parks and Recreation to offer NFL flag football for our 3rd through 8th-grade students. This is a great opportunity for students to build teamwork, sportsmanship, and have fun while staying active. The season runs from November 12 through February 4th.

Basketball
We are partnering with the Auburn YMCA for Basketball this season. Registration for YMCA members begins 10/15 and for community members 10/22.

cyo plact Workshop for parentsThere is a required workshop (via Zoom) parents must take if your child is playing in a CYO sport. Only one parent needs to register, and it is required only one time while your child plays in CYO for any sport. For example, if your child plays soccer during this season and you take the parent workshop, you will not have to take it again when your child is older or registers for a different sport.
To register, go to the Team Sideline website- Add yourself as an enrollee the same way you added your child, but select Add Parent
- Select General for Enrollment Type
- Select Parent like a Champion for Program
- Select a date for Offering
- When you have completed the training, please Mrs. Fox with parent name, child name, and date of completed training
